Love them

Love every single one of these knives. Bought as a gift for my husband and they have replaced every other knife we own....or used to.

Best Knives!

I know people have commented that these are poorer quality knives than the Classic Series. I disagree. This set is a great deal for the money. It has any knife you could ever want. Even the knives that I didn't expect to use hardly at all, I've used at least once int he 3 months since I bought it. As to the quality, I use the Chef's Knife everyday and have only had to sharpen it once. They hold an edge very well and cut through any food like butter. Also, if you get a defective knife, you can always count on the guarantee of Wusthof's Lifetime Warranty.

RUST

I LOVE these knives except for the fact that several knives started rusting right away! I am so disappointed! I have never put them in the dishwasher and make sure that they are completely dry before placing them back in the block. I am currently attempting to see if I can return them.

Excellent Value

I purchased this set for my wife less than a year ago. The knives are excellent and easy to sharpen. I purchased the PTEC sharpener from Wusthof and it was a great decision. The only complaint I have is that the Wusthof label on the steak knives has come off on most of them. Allthe knives have been only hand washed so it is disappointing. I need to check if the lifetime warranty covers this as I believe that considering the amount paid for this set it should be. However, this is an excellent set of knives and I would recommend them along with the sharpener.

don't buy

Buy the Wusthof Classic instead of the Wusthof Gourmet. You'll be pleased that you spent a little more money for a lot better quality.
