Pretty fabric, unflattering fit

I ordered this in the blue and it is a beautiful color and fabric. Unfortunately, even though I am short waisted, the smocked waist hit too high on me and I had to return it. The fit seemed like it would be better for a junior size.

Too long. Looks knee length on the model

Pretty color, but too long for me. Maybe if they had petite size it would be more flattering.
