Very pretty but not as flattering on my shape

I'm probably going to return this dress, but it is very pretty. However, it has too much material for my body, which adds dimension to my belly and lower area, where I do not need it...If I were 10 pounds lighter, it would be perfect for my niece's bridal shower.

Pretty but did not work for me

I had high hopes for this dress based on all the positive reviews. I’m not really sure what figure this dress fits. I’m 68 yo, 5’5”, curvy body type, full busted, and currently seem to be a 14 with the bust usually a bit snug. According to the bust measurement on the size chart I should have ordered an 18 — what? I ordered my usual 14 and the bodice had a lot of extra fabric and gapped open. I can’t go smaller because then the waist will be too snug. Maybe if I was 5” taller it would work? It’s a lovely dress, with a soft orchid pink base and a bit of shimmer. I only took one star off because it seems to work for others.
