Backing came lost , first wear

I bought this for my daughter. She loved it. It is beautiful. The only problem is and why I only gave it 4 stars is that on the very first wear, the backing of one earring came off and is lost. She almost lost the earring as a result! I will be contacting Macys and hope they replace the backing.
