Two lamps did not match.

I purchased two lamps for a vanity table. While the price was great, style and height were what I needed, the two did not match. The mercury glass on one was almost solid silver, the other one had more spots. So I got crafty and painted them with a pearl finish in white. They look just like genuine pearls! Now they match and there also is no glare from the too shiny silver. I would not recommend everyone painting the glass, but for me it worked fine. Because I needed more light at the vanity for applying makeup, the color of the shades were too dark. Purchased pure white shades and now give off more light.
