Highly Recommended
I love this pan. It is perfect in every aspect. The shape allows the cook to stir the food and the liquid easily without splashing out. (I purchased the 3 1/2 quart.). The bottom is wide enough and no food gets stuck to the sides while stirring. It is very easy to pour out liquids. The pan warms up quickly and the heat spreads evenly. The heat distribution in combination with the wide diameter on top allows for a faster reduction of liquids. I am looking forward to making the classic French sauces. The saucier feels lighter because of the materials used in the construction. The handle feels natural when holding it and it is precisely engineered so that when lifting the pan it does not add extra weight on the wrist. The helper handle is just that - helpful - when transferring the saucier. The stainless steel makes cleaning the saucier a breeze. The knob on the lid is easy to grab when lifting it.

Beautiful pan, but not a great value.
The pan is lovely, like all Le Creuset pieces. The lid sets it apart from other brands. My discussion is limited to saucier pans- Le Creuset pieces, in almost all settings, are simply the best out there and my preferred brand. I did not use the pan, but I imagine its heat conduction is as superb or better, like my smaller non stick pro saucier pan. I returned this 3.5 qt saucier pan after discovering several other European-made saucier pans at a sale price, with even more/extra ply construction, smooth (no rivets) interior, for less money.

No notes.
Excellent pan, worth the money to use for a life time. We can't wait to replace our entire kitchen with Le Creuset!
