These are lightweight, comfortable and well-made, but the zipper is only ~5" long, leaving ~4" down to the crotch seam. Another inch or so on the zipper and these would receive a 5*.

got what I bought
nothing fancy bought some shorts and as history has gone buying Columbia products they are good they fit they are made well and the materials are good...this one came a little late from the original deliver date posted but they showed up

My favorite shorts
I love these shorts! They're stylish, fit great and lightweight. They're perfect for golf with plenty of pocket room or just wearing when I'm out and about. Very happy with the construction as well.

Torn in the same place in three pairs
I have bought three pairs of these in the past year or year and a half. All of them have torn in the same place, near the zipper whenever I go to sit down. Really disappointed in the quality of them especially since I don’t wear them often. Just bummed in how poorly these have held up.

Except for one GIANT problem
Except for one GIANT problem, these shorts seem great (but aren’t because of the GIANT problem!). Once you wash them once, even if you don’t put them in the dryer (which it says you can do), they WRINKLE WRINKLE AND fabric DISTORT LIKE CRAZY. They are advertised as “ effortless style” — except for the fact that you have to IRON them every time you wash them. Ironing shorts? Sorry, that does not fall into the category of “effortless.” Sorry Columbia, your CEO should have to wear these shorts and iron them everytime. Until he quits wearing them. Did anyone even product test these?

not happy
I bought these at the end of last year, I wore them twice, this year I wore them another two times and they split down the seam south of the zipper. I am very unhappy about this, your clothing and jackets are usually so well made.
