Amazing and inspirational toy!

I had the opportunity to gift this amazing present to my daughter after Christmas. Instead of the traditional Barbie toy, it was great to see the Barbie brand implementing real characters, especially characters that are inspiring to our generation and previous generations. The only thing that I disliked was how hard it is sometimes to place the helmet on the Barbie doll.

Inspirational For Girls and Boys Alike

I think that it's fantastic to show inspiring women to kids. My son has been asking for a Barbie doll for a while now and this is absolutely perfect for him. Ellen is smart, beautiful, and has an amazing career. My little one aspires to be an astronaut when he grows up and thanks to Mattel, this may officially be his new favorite toy.

Beautiful doll

My daughter have been looking those barbies for a while but when we got this one she was ecstatic. She loved it so much that she did not want to open the box to play. She decided to keep it in her shelf as an inspiration. She is so protective of it that I can only think she loved it.

Great way to encourage science careers for women!

I love that this doll captures the idealistic and educated views of subject girls can take part in! They need to know they can do and be anything they want if they work hard for it. There have been far too many male figures (in this instance astronauts) that get the limelight- but we need more women repetition to show girls what they can aspire to do!

Great Detail

Love the detail on this doll. The story on the back was fantastic and went so well with the Barbie. My daughter has been talking more and more about what she wants to be (almost 5yo) so having an astronaut barbie to add to her mix that has a very realistic outfit is great. The packaging is standard, my only gripe (and this is on all barbies) is the heads are put in with the little plastic clothing tag things you have to cut around their hair. Seems like overkill with all the other ways the barbie is strapped in. Otherwise I really love this barbie and look forward to a lot of imaginative play and stories.

Very cute Barbie

The doll is super cute but the accessories don't stay on well. The stand is nice because my daughter has it up on her shelf when she is not playing with it. Very accurate on the NASA outfit and great to see women being represented through Barbie.
