Looks great

I love that this rug is 100% wool. It’s a little rough underfoot, but that makes sense, and it looks great. Not sure how easy it will be to vacuum and clean but the quality seems good!

Love it without the braided ends

Love this rug, but wasn’t crazy about the tassel ends. I just cut off the braids and it looks great

Smells like … well, a sheep

The rug is gorgeous, but it smells like a BARNYARD. I wanted a wool rug for our bathroom because I’ve heard they are more water repellant and stay warm even when wet, but as soon as I unrolled this rug, it smelled like a wet animal. It’s a musty, sour wet fur smell that is particularly rank. I know, it is literally wool from an animal, but the smell will not come out and it is so powerful that it smells up my entire bedroom and bathroom. Maybe I was naive for not knowing this is an aspect of wool rugs, I’m not sure if anyone has one that doesn’t smell. In any case, if you’re thinking about buying this one— unless you truly don’t mind it smelling awful, I would steer clear. It’s beautiful and high quality, but I cannot get past the smell. Even my nose/-blind husband noticed it. I’ve tried spraying it down with vinegar, essential oils, vacuuming with baking soda. I guess it’s back to the drawing board for a master bathroom rug.
