bought the Herford 2-piece hardside expandable luggage set on Dec. 9, 2023. Used TWICE on the trip and now the stiches on the 28 inch is ripped and coming apart! called the number on the card inside the luggage, but no one called me back! Really upset and hope I will hear from them soon!
Stay Away From Macy's-Ships Used/Defective Merch
I'm just amazed that Macy's would send out used/defective products and then turn around and deny a credit or replacement. I spent a lot of money on this luggage and then to receive luggage with scratches, 1 that was very deep and it looks like someone tried to buff it out with some kind of chemical or something which really makes the area stand out. I'm furious with Macy's and will never buy anything again from Macy's after this experience.
Cheap cheap cheap luggage
Very cheap looking luggage. The luggage also had a very strong chemical smell. I was afraid to out my items inside until it aired out a bit and even after a week the odor was still present. Definitely won’t buy again. This is not $900 luggage despite this being the “original retail price. It’s definitely $120 luggage.

Good product at reasonable price.arrived on time. It is a little bit light. The wheels are not heavy duty.

I could not be less satisfied
Broken handle, collapsed wheel on its first journey. Retrieving it from the baggage carousel was an embarrassment and physically difficult. I rely on Macy's shipping services because I live in a rural area, hours away from a store. After the debacle at the airport, I dreaded the inconvenience of shipping it back; I don't still have the shipping box, and it's miles to the UPS store. Macy's customer service was exceptional. They allowed me to take pictures of the damaged case and donate the other piece of the set to a homeless shelter in town. This is why I'm a Macy's customer!

Good storage, but not durable
We bought this luggage set after carefully reviewing several different sets. We decided on this particular set because of the good reviews. It definitely has great storage inside with lots of zipper pockets which worked well for us. However, on the first leg of our trip we noticed a chip on the outside of the luggage, on one of the corners. Then, a few days later, one of the wheels on the larger piece broke altogether. We still had the rest of our trip to go, as well as the travel home. So sadly, overall we give this set a 2 star because it didn't even hold up for one leg of one trip - and it was the first and only trip where we've used them. Disappointed.
