the because of this is the best thing ever and i love it so much and i love the way it feels
would not recommend
I bought this to rehab after surgery. It is impossible to push it back and it creeps forward once it is reclined. The foot rest is way too short and after 6 week the leather appears to be warping. Would not recommend it, but it you like the style be sure to sit in it and try and push it back. I was told the reclining function would get better with time - has not!
Nice recliners...
We were looking for new leather push back recliners to replace our worn out 18yo set we also purchased from Macys. We looked at these chairs almost a year ago, but the only thing we didn't really like is that the footrest is quite short, with only one extending section and didn't provide an extra section on the end. For the next 6 months, we honestly looked at many many furniture stores for high leg push back leather recliners and finally just came back to Macys and decided we could live with this chair. Do I wish that the manufacturer would have just added the extra portion to the footrest? Yes! But, in spite of that, we are quite happy with the chairs....they are comfortable and we are getting used to the footrest feeling shorter. If this is the only chair out there that you are finding to fit your needs, I wouldn't let the shorter footrest stop you. FYI, for reference, I am 5'6" and Hubby is 5'10"....ask for Tony at the Olympia store, he was fantastic to work with!
Chairs are good
Chairs match couch and fit with our decor. They are recliners, so we are happy.
Not Happy
The recliner foot rest is pretty short. I'm 6 ft and it hits in middle of calfs when reclining. They say it's top grain leather with split leather on sides and back. The back cover leather is unacceptable, look at the wrinkles and dents. Wouldn't buy it again. Return policy gives you 3 days and only a store credit with a 15% restocking fee. Buyer beware.
Beautiful chair, but impossible to push back
Bought this chair last year remotely from a Macy’s associate who assured me that delivery team could set to “easy” to push back and recline. Purpose was to get a chair I could sleep in while recovering from shoulder surgery. Of course it was on the right, so a push back recliner was my only option. The gray leather is beautiful to look at, comfortable to sit in, but IMPOSSIBLE to get into a reclining position. For me and for 3 friends who have also tried.
This is a very nice leather recliner. The length is fine for someone my height (5 foot 3) but not good for my son who is 6 foot total.
Causes terrible back pain-only 3 day return policy
Buyers beware - these recliners look beautiful, but they are Extremely Uncomfortable and are terrible for your lower back! Macys has a ridiculous 3 day return policy if you don’t like your purchase, so after only having these recliners 8 days, I’m stuck with them. As a nurse, I highly recommend that you select a different recliner for lumbar support if you plan on sitting in these for more than a few minutes at a time. I never leave bad reviews, but I feel like I needed to warn other people bc back pain is awful!
