Coffee drips onto warming plate

After you remove the carafe coffee drips onto warming plate. This will cause the finish on the warming plate to corrode. Breville's answer to the problem was to wipe the warming plate every time coffee drips. See pictures for expectations on what to expect.

Good machine but not made to last

I purchased this machine three years ago. Recently I broke my glass carafe and very disappointed there are no replacement options available therefore forcing you to purchase a new machine. Additionally the burner plate began to peel very early on with careful use. I do not recommend purchasing as it does not seem any replacement carafes are available for any model with no restock date offered.

While we always strive to replenish stock as expediently as possible, there are times when there is a gap of time between when a product goes out of stock, and when we receive more stock. Not worth the money

Pros: there are some nice features like the cold brew setting and the ability to brew into a single cup. The menu is also easy to use. Cons: the hot plate started peeling so it’s not very durable. The water tank doesn’t have any vents so there’s often condensation. The coffee is often burnt tasting because the hot plate is too hot. There’s always dripping from the coffee grounds container and it makes a mess of the countertop, more than other drip coffee makers. I’d avoid this coffee maker since the pros don’t outweigh the cons.

Do not buy

Do not buy this coffee pot! Our pot stopped working after 45 days. We had to go through the manufacturer's website and we never reached a representative. No one is ever avaliabe and they do not return your calls. Registering your coffee pot is a joke because it's hard to maneuver around it to add all your information for a response.

decent coffee, bad design

After six months the glass carafe began leaking, requiring us to purchase a replacement carafe (we opted for the thermal). The leaky carafe and drips from the filter basket caused the hot plate to rust and it is now completely corroded. It looks absolutely terrible. For the price, I would expect a better made product.

Sleek design

I have been eying this machine for months and so glad I finally made the purchase. I love the design. It works faster than the old drip maker and makes a good cup of coffee. I'm still getting use to all of the features. I do wish the parts were dishwater safe (they are not).
