Good if you like strong smells!
Perfume smells good, however it’s not a scent I would go for, it is a strong smell similar to oak. The value for money is great and the packaging was really nice!

Sensational!
Alto Astral—which translates from Brazilian Portuguese to “high astral”—is a celebration of joy, warmth, and vibrant optimism inspired by Brazilian culture. Perfumer Jérôme Epinette set out to bottle the effusive energy of Brazil through a composition that balances tropical brightness with comforting depth. Key notes breakdown: Top: Aldehydes and coconut water deliver a bright, effervescent opening. Heart: Incense, jasmine petals, and milky musks weave an enveloping, creamy floral core. Dry‑down: Building depth with sandalwood, cashmere wood, and salted amber for an elegant, grounded finish. --- What Reviewers Are Saying Marie Claire They praised its tropical gourmand charm, highlighting the coconut note as prominent but never overwhelming. The fragrance “is warm and musky without leaning too far on the masculine side,” and offers year‑round wearability with moderate longevity—longer when applied more generously. Who What Wear Initially skeptical of coconut-forward scents, the reviewer was won over by how Alto Astral transcends beachy clichés. The opening evolves into a seductive blend of incense, musks, and amber, lasting 6–8 hours and earning repeated compliments. It’s described as “vibrant, sensual, and versatile.” Essence The fragrance’s dual nature impressed them: playful and tropical at heart, yet mysterious and sophisticated in depth. They were surprised by its strong performance—lingering well into the evening—and compared its sophistication to elevated tropical scents like Sol de Janeiro but with more nuance. Fragrantica & Surrender to Chance Described as sparkly, effervescent, and addictive—imparting “the glowing warmth of sunlight reflecting on water.” It offers a fresh take on coconut, avoiding sunscreen tropes, and is appreciated for its unique brightness and dreamlike quality. Longevity is “better than any other Byredo” the reviewer’s tried, though still modest (about 4 hours). Fragrantica (Contrasting view) Another voice noted Alto Astral’s complex characters—some find the opening strange or synthetic, with a mid that feels flat and a conclusion echoing luxurious gourmand scents like Baccarat Rouge 540. Still, it’s admired for its insistence on defying simplicity. Reddit (r/fragrance) > “They give the fragrance a very strong salty metallic vibe initially. But the dry down is amazing… I definitely get the coconut water … The sandalwood, cashmere, and salted amber is heavenly.” Others confirm projection around 6–8 hours on skin and even longer on fabric, describing it as a “freshie with a summery, tropical beach vibe.” Fragrantica consumer feedback Opinions vary: some describe it as “airy, creamy coconut,” while others find the aldehydes harsh or “borderline molecular.” Comparisons range from Chanel-like cleanliness to a cozy blend of winter warmth and tropical ease. --- Final Verdict Strengths Bright, uplifting coconut-aldehyde opening with a unique twist Creamy, enveloping heart, evolving into a warm, musky-woody dry-down Balanced, gender-neutral, versatile for both warm and cool seasons Respectable longevity—especially on clothes Exceptionally well-received by reviewers—many call it addictive Potential Drawbacks Initial aldehydic blast may feel synthetic or abrasive to sensitive noses Mid-phase may appear subdued to some Overall longevity moderate—might need a touch-up for evening wear Ideal For Those seeking a grown-up, non-lollipop tropical scent Fans of gourmand opens with elegant dry-downs Perfume lovers who appreciate complexity over classic beach clichés Summary For many, it’s “a little piece of liquid sunshine”—a delicious paradox: creamy coconut and sparkling freshness that morph into an incense-laden, musky warmth. Truly a feel-good fragrance that wears beautifully from morning to night!

Strong musk scent with a floral hint
A good neutral unisex perfume, with long lasting scent. The scent itself is a little more masculine for my taste, it has a floral hint to a stronger musk scent. A little goes a long way, so a small sample size of this is great to try it out for a couple of rounds.
