A couple of years ago, I was finally able to buy an upgraded cookware set and went with the Calphalon Premier Hard-Anodized Set. It was pricey but I expected it to last me. One of the noted features is that it is metal utensil safe. It didn't take long for the finish in a few of the pots to start chipping off. The warranty offers a lifetime warranty, but it doesn't cover normal wear and tear? So frustrating. Obviously they are no longer safe to use. I will be replacing with a different cookware set soon.

Great find at my favorite dept store I really like Macy's. The set was a great deal for me and also my wife got surprised when I told her the price.

great set of cookware

Bought a premier set over 20 years ago from Macy's. Probably one of the best purchases I've ever made. Despite daily use, they look and function as good as the day I got them.

Calphalon Cookware

Easy to clean, very even heating.

Mostly good but one flaw!

I received this cookware set for Christmas and I am mostly happy with it. The pans are nice to cook with and clean up very easily. I have noticed one issue that I would consider a bit of a design flaw. The handles on the lids and on the side of the larger pot are metal and get so hot that you cannot touch them without almost burning yourself. I have experienced this several times while cooking on the stove - boiling water or cooking something with the lid on. It's unfortunate that this wasn't considered and it's a bit dangerous. Now that I know, I always use a towel or mit to remove the lids.

Much lighter than our old set!

We replaced a set we had for 25 years after determining it was pretty warn. We were pleasantly surprised at how much lighter our new set is compared to the old one and it works just as well! The only downside I see is water getting stuck inside the rim of the lids. This didn't happen on our first set. I assume it's not a huge deal. I've seen other complaints about this as well.
