Surprisingly Spicy

I love that every year’s version is slightly different, and I was so excited to read this Summer’s product description. However the ginger overpowers the other notes, and the overall fragrance skews more feminine than neutral or unisex. I love the bottle design, so youthful and playful, so I was surprised that the scent was more like something I’d imagine a more mature woman wearing. I still like it, but won’t wear it as often as I did previous iterations.

Citronella candle, the cologne edition.

I have been using CK One summer for over 10 years now I think. Every year's edition is different, some are better, some are less successful, but what they always have in common is that the smell was always fresh, fruity, tropical and pleasant. This year's version is a straight up citronella candle in a cologne packaging. It's citrusy, it's spicy, but over all it's not something that I like to smell like. I think it's a miss, and the packaging looks immature and directed at 16 year olds...
