Size too small

Jacket looks nice; I like the color, but size is off. I am an 8 or a 10, depending on brand. I purchased this jacket in size 10 and it was tight in the waist. I exchanged it for size 12; it now fits in the waist but is a bit loose around the chest. Overall there is something wrong with the cut. I have other Pierre Cardin blazers and this has never happened before.
