Appearance: + The look is bold and contemporary. The size is impressive. It's an eye catcher!
- In real life, the shiny features make the watch difficult to read. The face has a cheap plastic look. The size is a problem for my small wrist (7" circumference), but you will need a larger band if your wrist is over 8".
Operation: + It's pretty much like any other Eco Drive. You have to manually advance the date on short months, but that's not a surprise.
- Full sun is recommended for a full charge, but even in Pennsylvania, the watch will get too hot if you lay it in full sun. It's probably OK on your wrist since your skin will limit the temperature. It seems to charge more slowly than the watches with "behind the face" solar cells.
Bottom Line: The watch is more of a fashion accessory than a practical timepiece. At the current low price, it can be one of many such watches in your "wardrobe". If you want to make a fashion statement, then you should consider this watch. If you're a horological geek, then you may wish to choose a different watch from the seemingly endless models of Citizen watches available.
