Love the smell, the texture and the color!
This product is promoted as a makeup base, or primer, to even out the complexion, but I'm used to the instant smooth perfecting touch so I don't like this as a base, I bought this cause I liked the texture and pink tone it had, to use it as a highlighter, that's the way I use it after foundation and before a little powder, I have used it as a base and it's great too, makes my skin glowy, radiant, alive. But I rather use the other primer and this as a highlighter. Totally recommend!

Love love love love it!
I have bought both colors. My first tube is the no. 1 rose. I mix it with the foundation to give me hydration and make it easier to put foundation on my face without being cakey. And it gives me a natural glow. it lasts me several months. My second and third tubes are no.2 champagne , which fits me better. I have redness on my cheeks, around the nose, and forehead. This no.2 could reduce the redness on these areas. Your skin will look natural but better when comparing to just use moisturizer. Now it is summer, so I like being light, and i don't want to put lots of make up. So I will use primer , then no.2 champagne all over my face, then i will need a few drops of extra foundation on my cheeks, which has the most redness. Then setting powder, I am all set. I feel very comfortable and not greasy in hot summer in NYC. I bought my fourth tube in NO. 1 again. It will be a gift for my mom. A bit of natural glow will make her more beautiful and graceful.

Doesn't live up to Clarins' standards
I really wanted to like this. But honestly it doesn't really do much, AND it tends to turn to sludge when used with foundation, or with even a light dusting of powder over it. Personally I prefer Origins' GinZing color-releasing moisturizer as a primer or on its own with a dusting of power. Sorry, Clarins, fail on this one.

Too Thick, Not enough coverage, Expected Better
My initial goal was to use it in place of foundation to even out complexion but avoid the texture that liquid foundations often give me. I was expecting the consinstency would be more watery. I bought it the champagne shade and it barely evens out my skin tone (but it is supposed to cover redness???), and I do not even have blemishes that need a lot of covering. If I use more product, it becomes too visible. So I will just use it up as cream on "no MU days," and stick to my powder foundation on others. The couple of times I wore this, it did not break me out or make my skin dry even though I had to use powder on top of it for a more matte finish.The smell is nice, not overpowering, but I could still smell it on my face thought the day. I honestly do not see how one could use it as a base under foundation unless they have a perfectly smooth skin. If you lay foundation over this, you'll bound to create more texture.
