Organic status questionable

Texture and style was very good but because it is hygro cotton, I did some research to verify if this might change the organic condition of the end product. Turns out hygro cotton is a technology that uses synthetic fibers in processing, which I felt would render the product non-organic. I was looking to buy towels that did not use chemicals and synthetics in processing. I contacted the company, Welspun, that patented the technology, and Macys, but could not get any information at all. Welspun declined to provide any information to assure me that hygro cotton could indeed be used to produce GOTS and OEKO-TEx certified organic products. This non-transparency raises a lot of doubt for the product. Macys accepted the return with no issues whatsoever.
