MCM style chair

I purchased this chair as a Christmas present for my father who prefers a firmer seat. The box arrived intact, the bag had a small hole in it so the pegs and extra foot pads were loose in the box. The chair went together, fairly easily, however, the final long screw that was supposed to connect through the bottom of the front crossbar into the seat was unusable as neither crossbar had a whole drilled through it to secure the screw to the seat. However, the rest of the chair provided enough secure screws and locking nuts to ensure that the seat is relatively set in place, and did not require that last screw. The finish of the chair needed some wood oil as the finish looked dry and was actually powdery in some places. There was some wood glue residue, or perhaps it was stain that left some rough spots on one of the armchair pieces all in all it is a sturdy chair and after a little bit of polishing. For the price, the finish was not of the highest quality I would’ve expected.
