Great classic design. Quality subpar.

I love the classic design of this shoe. However, it seems like the quality has gone down. I used to own a pair over 5 years ago and it came with better laces/metal aglets, had a better feeling interior, and leather was softer/more premium feeling.

Great 'kicks'

Bought these for my husband because you can't go wrong with a pair of Jack Purcells! He loves them. They are great for a cool, casual look that is polished and clean. He says they are comfortable and run try to size!

Hey I'm wondering if these have the "Jack Purcell" signature logo on the back of the heel. The picture doesn't show a view from the back but I love that logo and I want to make sure this shoe has it

Black and white are not the same

Bought two pairs - one in black and one in white. I'm normally a size 9 US men's in sneakers (think New Balance). So I ordered these in size 9. (I went on the Converse.com website to double check and it said these shoes run true to size.) The black pair fit nicely for me; I like a little bit of room up in my toe area to wiggle but not so much room where you'd lose good traction. The white pair were very roomy (especially at the heel) and I had to return them to a store and luckily the store had an 8.5 which fit me better. I'm not wearing thick athletic socks with these converses, more along the line of cotton casual dress socks. So it seems like a hit or miss on fit. Be prepared to exchange. Shipping from Bloomies was terrific: ordered on a Sunday night and got them at the my door on Wednesday.
