Tarnished

My daughter has wanted a locket for quite a while-I purchased this necklace, saved it, boxed up and put away for roughly 5 months in a drawer. I pulled it out to wrap it and the necklace is starting to tarnish - it's never been worn nor exposed to any harsh temperatures. The locket is very cute which is the only reason I gave it 2 stars (as opposed to 1).
