Early Days

I have only been using the toaster for a couple of weeks. I exchanged the metal model when I returned the white plastic model. That one was just a very cheaply designed product with a Cuisinart name stamped on it. The metal one I have now is OK, but you can tell that it's made more of a tin like material and much lighter than the older model. I think time will tell but wonder why Cuisinart Marketing Department sends out their survey requests within weeks of date of purchase.

Very Disappointing Toaster

This is probably the worst toaster that I have ever owned. When toasting regular bread, it burns the bread even on the lowest setting. Can’t imagine what it would do and the amount of smoke it would make if it were on the highest setting. Can not recommend this product.

Dont buy this toaster

This is the worst toaster I have ever owned.I bought it without checking reviews because I trusted Cuisinart,they are a very old and well respected brand.I bought this toaster based SOLELY off the brand and it has been trash since the minute I used it.It does not stay down,it does not toast the bread ,the knob moves by itself.I thought I was doing something wrong ,so I went online and saw all the reviews basically saying the same thing.I am so disappointed in Cuisinart for continuing to sell this toaster with all its reported issues ,to unsuspecting consumers like myself who have put their trust in a brand who PREVIOUSLY stood for quality.Absolutely appalled

Uneven toasting

Toasts the bottom more than the top. Otherwise all the functions work fine. I do find the openings are not very long, usually have to toast, swap bread ends, toast again as the whole piece doesn't fit lengthwise.

Really like it

I like the toaster, and it's an upgrade to what I had previously. Still don't like that it gets hot because of the stainless. I would have preferred the same features on one that didn't get so hot. But I like the features quite a bit.

Hammer needed

It is amazing that this toaster still has relatively slots. Cannot put thick slices of bread or thick bagels in it without getting a hammer and screwdriver to push it down.
