Love the Rice Cooker

I recently purchased this rice cooker on the recommendation of a friend. It is a wonderful appliance, easy to use, versatile and cleans quickly. It cooks rice to perfection.

Excellent long-lasting appliance!

I bought this item in 2016. After 9 years of daily use, it collapsed. I consider this product so good, that I went ahead a bought a new one. That is a lot to say given that 9 years later there are many other options in the market.

How did I live this long without it?

Over the years we've given rice cookers as gifts, but I've never gotten one for myself. Now we have a new house but I can't set the gas range can't low enough to cook rice on the stovetop as I've always done. So I decided to try a rice cooker, and since we've always had good experiences with Cuisinart, decided to get a small cooker for ourselves. I'm not really a gadget or appliance junkie, so was skeptical that it'd be worth sacrificing the counter space. But after I read one review that talked about steaming hardboiled eggs with it, I was really hooked. I've experimented a bit with water amounts for the basmati rice that we eat (it's not listed in the manual), and have also tried different timing for the eggs, and both are now yielding more consistent and successful results than when I did everything on the stove. The one thing I would advise is to definitely rinse your rice before cooking as listed in the manual. I've never done that before, but it does make a difference in the final product.

Perfect rice

I have used this rice cooker twice in the last month and couldn’t be happier with it. I followed the instructions and the rice came out perfect. I would recommend this product.

Nice, but. . .

I was excited to see a rice cooker that can steam vegetables at the same time it cooks rice. I haven’t used that feature yet. It makes regular rice well and it cooks quickly. But, it boils over and makes quite a mess. Disappointing!

Why did I wait this long?

We own many Cuisinart appliances and find them to be worry free and worth the few extra dollars. Looks great on the counter, and works perfectly. I'm going to start using it for things other than rice... steel cut oats and hardboiled eggs. Can't believe I went this long without one. No more m3ssy stove from water boiling over!
