Girl's Sizes Not accurate

Every single time I buy clothing for my 8 yr old granddaughter I have to return it. Girls sizes are NEVER right. I keep buying bigger sizes and that doesn't work either. This coat is the latest. One more to pick up which I'm sure I'll have to return. She's not a 14-16 but it's still small. Do not recommend nor am I buying any more children's clothes. Disappointed again.
