Gold Donna Karan New York Gown

The dress is absolutely beautiful. However, it does run big. I generally wear size large shirts. But, I can wear Mediums at times. The size 10 was way too big for my chest and shoulders. I was quite surprised considering my bust is usually a bit too big for medium. Nevertheless, I just ordered a size 8 with the hope it fits better and will return the dresses mailed to my home. I plan to wear this at a formal June wedding I will be attending next year. I'm about 5'7 and a half. The dress did touch the ground. I'm hoping I can find shoes w/ a heel to solve that problem.

Wrong Fit

This is a lovely, textured and festive fabric! The fullness of the skirt is nice, made possible by the tulle slip. For me, the size 4 was too big in the bodice. I am a 34 A, with a 29" waist. After trying on this size 4, I am sure I would fit in the size 2.

Love the dress, it is gorgeous. My only complaint is that the pleats create a very big excess of material and "pouch" in the front. I am having my dress altered from the waist down and removing the pleats. Also the dress if VERY long and does not come down like the picture, so I will also have major alterations on the length. I am hoping it will look more like this picture.
