Straightens hair beautiful, but not the roots.

I have used the Airstrait several times. It does a fantastic job on my hair except for the 3” of roots near my scalp. I gave it a 4 because of this. I have to go and blow out my roots first with a round brush which to me, defeats the purpose of using one tool.

Blown Away

I am a little blown away by the Airstrait! I do NOT have naturally straight hair. Therefore, it takes work to get the waves straightened. This device has literally cut the time in half to achieve that goal. I do have to section out my hair, but that has been necessary no matter what. I’m very impressed and do recommend the Airstrait. It is pricey but saving time is priceless.

I still need a hair straightener to tame my hair. It is more or less like a hair dryer minus the brush.

Although it is incredibly expensive it’s worth it because it does a great job with my hair without damaging it like hair straighteners do.

1 bought this 2 months ago. At first I wasnt sure it made a difference but as I have used it more alongside heat resistance products the results have been amazing. I am a more mature lady and my hair tends to be frizzy. The use of the airstraight has totally tamed it and I am delighted with the results. It is easy to use and the variation in temperature settings makes me feel it will do less damage to my hair compared to a conventional heating iron. I love it

Love the idea of using air, but disappointed…

I like the tool it is easy to use and does not damage hair. It is a little heavy and I find it difficult to work on the roots as the tool is quite bulky.I have naturally wavy curly hair and the finish does not last all day. Again due to the size of the tool I am unable to get perfectly straight roots as I normally do with traditional hot plate straighteners. Also my hair feels very flat, no shine to it after using this tool. I will continue practicing. I was in two minds about buying this tool or the Airwrap. Now I wish I had bought the Airwrap as it had more features and it seems that the straightening tool with the Airwrap perform similarly to these stand alone straighteners.

A bit of a let down

I bought this a month ago and I found the functionality a bit fiddly. Getting round the back of my head and trying to get my hair in the machine was very hard without glasses. With glasses you catch the machine on them. I found it too hot on my skin even at lower temperature. The plug is enormous and has a button on it with a cross on the instructions ? You definitely need glasses for the controls if you're eye's are not good. I found it hard to hold and maneuver I am in my 60's and my hands are a little stiff younger people will not have a problem. It is stylish and pretty to look at but didn't do a lot for my fine flyaway hair. I found it made it straight in a frizzy way. My Airwrap is much better for my hair and easier to use.
