Needs emptying too often!
We bought this vacuum cleaner not long before having new wool carpet laid. It was very frustrating having to empty the cleaner twice for every room. nearly 3 months on it will still only hold fluff from one room. I wish this model had a compressor in it as I believe the new ones now do. We also found the filter got completely blocked from cleaning a small area of the old carpet with spray on (Bremworth) cleaner which had to be vacuumed up. Using the inbuilt crevice and edge tool is very hard on the back, and for a smallish female the cleaner is very heavy. It does suck extremely well.

Awesome cleaner, bracket design fault is a concern
I am very happy with my new Dyson Gen 5 vacuum cleaner and really like the onboard crevice tool. I think the bracket to attach it to the wall is not well designed as it appears once you click it in you can’t unclick it so if you are moving house it’s not an easy thing to get off the wall without breaking the bracket, hence I have not put mine on the wall yet as have to be sure where I’m putting it is where it will stay. If I’m wrong on this Dyson please let me know but my experience and all reports on line seem to confirm this.
