Review of Party Games

Fear Street: Party Games by R.L Stine A fun party on an island quickly turns into a disaster. A teenager from a small town called Shadyside named Rachel is working her job. While she is working, Brendan Fear, the richest boy in town, invites her to his birthday party. After her shift, she gets on the boat ready for the party to begin on the Fear’s private island. Brendan has planned many games for his birthday and wants everyone to have some fun. While everyone is settling in there seems to be a problem, people have started going missing. As the games continue, more and more people are going missing. I felt that this book had me stuck reading it for hours at a time. The way that Stine writes makes you feel like you are right there in the story. The way he developed the characters makes you care for them. I think some downsides of the book would have to be the ending. The reason I didn’t like the ending was that it didn’t satisfy me. Overall, I felt that the book was well written. If you like horror or mystery stories then this is the book for you. A tense story that will keep readers in Stine’s tight grip until the end. -ZM
