Beware the shaft width

This is my first Chelsea boot and I purchased them assuming they fit snug around the ankle. The description doesn’t list the shaft width, but it is wide—slim/tapered pants do not fall over them. They don’t feel secure and look a bit awkward. They ARE true to size but I can also easily fit four fingers in the ankle area. Unfortunately, I wore them thinking I would make them work but they don’t feel any better after a wear. Frye doesn’t allow any return of worn items (understandable) so I’m stuck with them. Save yourself the time and look elsewhere.

Comfy but unfortunately low quality

Wanted to love them, and they were great at first, but quickly realized that I overpaid for a low-quality product. Photos are after 4 days of wearing. Cheap dyeing process, poorly constructed, leather showing odd wear marks. In addition, lackluster customer service when I inquired about issues. Also interesting how Frye "reposts" old products as new...wiping out review histories.
