Pre-seasoned Cast Iron Dutch Oven is the perfect c
The 5 quart cast iron Dutch oven by good cook is amazing. It came pre-seasoned with flaxseed oil which makes it easier to use right away. It has a lifetime warranty and was designed in the USA. The weight is solid as expected from cast iron but this one is also oven safe to 500 degrees Fahrenheit making it perfect for stove and oven cooking or baking. Makes great loaves of sourdough too!

Overall, it’s great.
It’s sturdy and hefty, great for making large quantity portions for the single families and for gatherings. Cleaning the pot is basic, just like other cast iron type cookware. You can make so many thing with it. Just be aware that it will rust after washing it with water and dish soaps. I recommend seasoning it with oil by preference and heat it in the oven, as maintaining for long term use.

Great price for a great pan.
Perfect fit for a whole chicken with some veggies. Cleans up as well as any other cast iron I’ve used. The even heat cooked my chicken and veggies to perfection.

It’s reliable, heats evenly, and feels like it wil
This Dutch oven is excellent quality. The cast iron construction is heavy and durable, retaining heat very well and ensuring even cooking. I really appreciate that it comes pre-seasoned, which saves time and prevents rust while in storage. Another bonus is that it’s oven-safe up to 500°F, making it very versatile for a wide range of recipes.

Not great
This pot looked very good but it is not that great, it is very durable but cleaning it is super hard, moisture gets trapped inside it and the seasoning gets stuck on the sides of, it was good to retain heat but i wouldn’t recommend this to anybody

Great soup making pot!
I love this cast iron pot. It's great for making soups! I made the mistake of storing my soup in this pot and that was the wrong decision. The top got rusty very fast from the condensation. So, lesson learned. The size of this is great for a big pot of soup. This heated up nicely and evenly. I'm definitely a fan.

Decent Dutch oven but prefer my stainless steel
I received this for free from Influenster for my honest review. I have always wanted a cast iron dutch oven and was thrilled to give this a try. This arrived and I noticed a slight chip in the lid, but it is tiny. It is heavy but not as heavy as my Lodge cast iron pan. This is also thinner cast iron than my Lodge. I washed it and then wiped it clean with a microfiber. I noticed the surface was a bit rough but then I put it on the burner and let it warm through and wiped it again. I let this heat up and then added a bit of oil to brown my beef bones to make stock. Everything stuck to the bottom and I had to scrape it off, I was a bit shocked since this was preseasoned. I was able to make a nice hearty beef stock. The lid does fit securely and allows for my stock to get warm and it did reduce down nicely. The pot handles are a bit small and can make it difficult to dump the contents of the broth into a strainer while the pan is screaming hot! I wasn't sure how to clean and dry the dutch oven. So I washed it and then put it on a burner with lid and it dried out, perfect! While I do enjoy trying this dutch oven, it is a bit much to clean and dry and I think I will use my stainless for stock next time. This is a bit small for making stock.
