Craftsmanship

Hoping for better luck on this one as my son likes the layout of the backpack, but most recent one ripped at the seams after less than a year. He is in high school and they overload them for sure but unacceptable

New Backpack

I’ve bought and used High Sierra backpacks for over 20 years. And they have lasted and done great. I have just bought this one to replace a 10 year old one that has about worn out. I think I bought too cheap and entry level of a model. I’m going to use it cut it is just missing a whole lot that my charcoal gray tsa bag (15” laptop) had. The t just seems really cheap. And lacks a lot of features. Zippered side pockets. Keep clasp. Etc. It’s on me but it’s so big of a drop it doesn’t make sense. I think if you buy a high sierra you should expect a minimum level of features and quality.

All around winner.

I’ve bought several of these for my kids and they love them. Even my college child’s roommate got one because she loved my kid’s backpack. It has plenty of pockets for accessibility, structured well to hold weight without feeling burdensome, padded tech pockets, and holds water bottles well. All around winner. My daughter brags about it so much she says High Sierra should just sponsor her already!

Highly Recommend!

I have owned this exact same backpack for 5 years or better. It is awesome. The only reason I even replaced the original backpack with a new one was because my office flooded and it spent 4 days in dirty water. Otherwise the original was still in great shape. Highly recommend!

My Ride or Die Bag!

My Ride-or-Die Backpack: Sierra Heights I didn’t expect to fall in love with a backpack, but here we are. The Sierra Heights has been with me through early morning classes, late-night jam sessions, and spontaneous road trips across the Carolinas. It’s the kind of bag that doesn’t just carry your stuff—it carries your rhythm. My Ride-or-Die Backpack: Sierra Heights I didn’t expect to fall in love with a backpack, but here we are. The front organizer keeps my pens, USBs, and random affirmations from floating around like loose change. 💆🏽‍♀️ Comfort That Moves With Me Even when it’s packed heavy, the padded straps and back panel make it feel like it’s hugging me, not dragging me down. Whether I’m walking across campus or heading to a pop-up event, it stays balanced and breathable.

Purchased through our school district. Top zipper seam is not correct and coming apart and side pocket where a water bottle goes is also coming apart.
