Nails on chalkboard screeching due to cheap glazin
Although they look great they are poorly made. The glazing is thin and soon enough eating will sound like nails on a chalkboard.

Beautiful dishes. I love the juxtaposition of the glazed and unglazed portion of the dishes. I have not yet washed them in the dish washer for fear of other reviews but they hand wash nicely. I hope to have them for a while.

Do Not Buy. Defective Product.
I bought two sets in 2018. Of the original 24 pieces, only 19 remain: 3 broke in the dishwasher and two in the microwave. Quality is clearly an issue for Macy's house brand. I will not be buying anything from 'The Hotel Collection' line again. Macy's does not stand behind their products anymore, no refund.
love the color!
I love the color and texture of the dinnerware. That being said however, one of the sets of dishes was way lighter in color than the other ones. These are quite heavy also. It is important to allow them to dry completely before stacking them. The bottoms are not finished and the stone remains wet for awhile.
Beautifully finished dinnerware
this set has a beautiful Portuguese glaze, very different, with dark flecks in the basic glaze. I love the depth of the cereal bowls. The edges of the salad plates and dinner plates are curved up in a simple design and very smooth.

Let me just say that, the online picture does not do this dinnerware set justice! It is very elegant, yet simple for everyday use, and the color is so pretty, would go with any theme!

My Family & I, love the elegant-looking dinnerware! The rose color is so attractive. So much so, I have put on display, instead of being hidden away in a cabinet. Visitors are able to admire. The dinnerware is heavy & appear to be of very good quality.The plates & bowls seem larger than average. In receiving the 12-piece dinnerware, consisting of dinner, salad plates & bowls, I immediately ordered the matching cups. LOVE this set! Will add on, when on sale,

Delightful dinnerware
Hotel Collection's Olaria 12 piece dinnerware service for 4 is uniquely lovely. Each setting includes just the perfect size bowl, salad plate and dinner plate. I love the hand-thrown style of Portuguese ceramics. The earthy stoneware look has a dusty rose finish. It's a joy to set the table with these gorgeous dishes, and most charming to eat from them.
