a lucky few may get a good one

my problem is not with the fit, arm holes OR neckline... due to the vertical pattern on this top, you would have to waste some fabric to get the cutout on the neckline and the vertical stripes to match up so the top doesn't look sewn crooked. There was obviously little attention to detail here and poor fabric pattern choice. I bought 2, they both went back.

Give this one a chance!

I don't think I've ever written a review for Macy's before but the shade this top has gotten so far just breaks my heart. I love it!!! I can't wait until it's warm enough to wear it! Yes, the arm holes are big and hang down a bit, but I don't mind the top of my black, strapless bra showing a little under the arms. It looks like part of the top. I'm 48 years old and swear by halter necklines! They make arms on the verge of looking matronly appear shapely and much younger. I'm not skinny by any means at 5'7" and 149 lbs., but the cut of this top in size medium is very flattering and makes my stomach look much flatter than it is. I bought a similar INC top in navy. I don't need them, but I'm keeping them both because... halter tops, yo!?!?! They're the best! (48 chronologically... 14 at heart)

Beautiful top well made but wasn’t appealing on me.

Not as expected.

Wanted to love this top - looked good on-line; great for summer, but........fit is off. Higher neckline than pictured, arm holes are really big and hang down way too low; side of bra showed, and hit my waist area at an odd place. Thought about sizing up to see if that would help, but the issue with under the arms would be worse. Returned.
