great dress for athletic build

I am a Petite with an athletic build. That is a nice way of saying I have a thick and short waist, but great arms and shoulders. This dress is the perfect style/design for my build. The v-waistline, front and back, is very flattering. I ordered both a 12 (for bust) and 10 (for waist) based on the sizing chart. The 10 is a perfect fit (after an easy hem alteration, due to Petite), so I say the sizing runs a little large. I am returning the size 12. Macy's great return policy makes online shopping the perfect solution for someone living as rural as I do. The dress is very well-made and the beading is stunning. It was very well-packed for shipping, too. Arrived on a hanger, in a garment bag, with very few wrinkles. A quick hit with the steamer and Cinderella will be on her way to the ball. Wonderful!

Beautiful style

I almost chose this for the mother of the groom gown for my son's wedding, but in the end, I chose one in peacock. This is so beautiful, and the bodice comes down a bit to draw the eye away from trouble-spots and give it the illusion of a longer, thinner look. Highly recommend.

Great dress

The site suggested size 12 based on measurement. I chose size 10 based on my height and normal clothes. The dress fit perfectly and it's very pretty and comfortable. The negative is the scarf was missing and I had to re-order.

color is darker

than pictured... only by a little bit... but for us, that actually works better. my older sister is in her fourties and will wear this as a bridesmaid dress in my upcoming wedding. nice quality and fits as described!
