Where it all started…Our Jacks Flat Sandal is our signature sandal - the design that put us on the map in the early 1960s.  Made of a soft, supple leather that ages with wear it is no wonder why it's been a classic for almost 60 years. Iconic Details: Our Jacks Flat showcases our signature whip stitch and rondelle, both details that are done by hand on each pair.  Due to this craftsmanship, no pair of Jacks is exactly the same.  Leather Footbed: In an ode to the first Jacks made in Italy years ago all of our Jacks Flat Sandals are made with leather footbeds and stitched to the outsole.  Over time the natural oils of the foot will change the color of the footbed - this is a detail unique to Jacks.

Disappointed....

Lovely shoe however it does not work on a high instep. There is no gusset to allow movement on the band across the top of the foot. Felt like walking with two pieces of wood on my feet. Not comfortable at all including a rigid footbed; no cushioning. So wanted to like these. Can only say they're pretty.
