Major connectivity problems- turns itself off
The JBL clip 2 is durable and reasonably loud. However, nine out of every ten times I use it, my computer "detects" it and... goes right on using its own speakers, unless and until I open my bluetooth connection and manually disconnect and reconnect it. This would be bad enough, but when there is no sound coming into it from my computer, it always- ALWAYS- turns itself off after a few minutes and forces me to go through the whole reconnection process all over again. I imagine this was meant as a powersaving measure, but I have no control over it, and as a practical matter there are always long stretches of time when I want it at the ready but I am not actively using it. This is a "feature" that might as well be a bug. Also, even with this feature, the battery life is not very good. In fact, I habitually leave the speaker recharge cable plugged in, as I can never tell when it has merely "timed out" or has run out of power- which is quite often. I hope future versions of this thing are better. Its big advantage when I bought it was that it was cheap.

Power Button Doesn't Work
I bought a clip 2 and it won't turn on so I returned it. Then the 2nd clip 2 had the same problem.

Quality speaker
I bought this to enable me to have a speaker in my vehicle as my phone did not have the 1/4 inch regular jack. I have been very satisfied with it. ONly there are time when my iPhone will not connect to it.

Widespread Battery Issue
I want to like this speaker. It feels great and sounds great for its size BUT it clearly has a widespread production issue. After several months of semi-regular use and proper care, it stopped charging. I plug it in, the red light comes on, and a few seconds later it goes off. I bought it overseas so I couldn't use the warranty. I figured, hey, there's no way I paid this much for a product that has that big of an issue so I'll get another one. Guess what? After just three months, the same issue appeared with this one. Overall, you are paying too much money for a product that has no reliability. Do not recommend.

Excellent!
Hi! I’ve had a clip 2 for a year now and just bought my second, because I read they can be paired by holding in the Bluetooth button for more than five seconds on both of them at the same time after connecting them with the phone, but it won’t work??? Apart from that I’m very much satisfied!
