Good beach shoe, but not snug for swift water

This shoe would be good for the beach or something in calm water. They appear durable, have a good sole for rocky spots or hot sand, and look better on than the photo would indicate. However, the heel is low and isn't snug. It's easily pulled off the foot. My primary use will be whitewater kayaking. The shoe needs to stay on in fast water and definitely won't. Therefore I'm trying to return them
