Beautiful fabric and lining

I'm giving this 4 stars because it is a beautiful well-made skirt, and maybe works on other people. The fabric and lining were perfect. I would have kept it but on me, the gathering made it too bulky all over. It was about an inch longer on me than I would have liked. In spite of the good aspects, though, on me it looked frumpy because of so many gathers. I think it would have been gorgeous had it not had the added bulk from the gathers. It just looked too big on me. I'm 5'6" and average weight and I got the smallest size, XS. I tried it on with a number of tops, but still didn't work.
