Sizing has changed
My kids have been using the Land's End Uniforms for 10 years. I ordered the exact same styles in the same styles, I just needed new fresh uniforms and they are all way bigger than the exact same styles as last year. It's so infuriating because now I'm stuck with several of these because they have a logo embroidered on them. Of the others I purchased on a sale and now I have to return and reorder at a very different price. So ridiculous.

Not functional
The functionality of this skirt is bad for kids. They have to unzip it from the back in order to use the restroom. Not a good design. It would be fine if it was a fully elastic waistband, but it’s not. I now have to order a non-skort for her uniform.

So-So Skort
Skirt runs big. The fabric added to the bottom makes it look cheap. Not sure why it’s there.

Nice material, adjustable waist is great
I bought two of these skorts for my 11 year old daughter who needs uniform to the knee. She normally wears a size 14-16 in other brands. I purchased the size 16 so that she will have room to grow. It does run a little big. She is 4'11 and these hit just about mid-knee. We do have to adjust the elastic tabs in quite a bit which makes the fabric bunch up somewhat in the back. But, I'm okay with that because the fabric is sturdy and they hold up well in the wash so I am hoping we will get several school years worth of wear from them. Straight out of the dryer there's no wrinkles. I find that Land's End offers sales often but the uniforms are often excluded from the promotions. I keep watching for a uniform sale to stock up on a few more.

Seam added to bottom of skirt 3/4 from bottom
I brought this skirt and liked the look of it online. However, when I received the skirt there is a seam all around the bottom of the skirt like material was added to cover the length

Please go back to old sizing and fit!
I wish the sizing for kids/school uniforms hadn't changed. It is so challenging to purchase based on the sizing that my kids are currently wearing. It's like some sizes were completely eliminated for young kids! I ordered this in the next size up (a 6) from the previous size she wore (size 5) and it is HUGE! I know it says "top of the knee" but I wish it was a bit shorter (my daughter even has long legs). It is also bulky around the middle, which gives it a sloppy appearance compared to some of the other skirt options. I wish there were better plaid skirt options that remained above the knee.
