Our No Iron Oxfords may be the best-made, longest-lasting wrinkle-free shirts available. And now among the softest too, thanks to U.S.-grown Supima cotton. We also sew gussets at the side seams for untucked wear, and — it s subtle, but significant — two pleats on the sleeve (rather than the former three) for less blousiness. As always, the fabric stays smooth for 30 washes without the touch of an iron..

Collar buttons sewn in the wrong place

The slim-fit version of this shirt was a staple of my wardrobe for a decade. But since that's no longer available, I recently bought two of these shirts in the tailored fit, one white and one blue. On both of them, the buttons that hold down the collar were sewn in the wrong places, so that they tug the fabric of the shirt in weird ways. On each shirt, the location of the button on the left side isn't consistent with the one on the right, and the buttons' placement on the white shirt is a bit different from the blue. This is a basic quality-control issue that should have been caught by the company before these shirts ever reached a customer's doorstep.
