Sizing inconsistent

I bought the XL for my 12 year old and they were falling off her body. I returned them for a L and they were super tight. I don't understand the inconsistency. I will go with a different style instead.

Good Slim fit for petite build girls

Great fit for 8Slim daughter. Cute colors, we got pink and teal. The only reason I didnt' give 5 stars is becuase the waist band only has a tiny elastic at the top seam, the entire waist band is NOT elastic as I thought from the pictures.

Great but waist too big no matter what

Lands End swim bottoms are consistently too wide in the hips for my daughter who has no problem with other clothing. I've done crude modifications with a needle and thread in the past. I think this year I'm going to a different brand. Even ordering a size down doesn't help. The legs get shorter but the waist doesn't get snugger. On the other hand they are a great style! Modest and with pockets which she was excited about. But if she wears them in the water she might end up like the poor girl in the song about the bikini top.

Great swim shorts

Bought to have an extra bathing suit for my granddaughter and they are great. Runs aittle big but very comfortable.
