Beautiful Fair Isle Knit Dress

I love Fair Isle designs that Mr. Lauren creates. I have a sweater, sweater jacket and now a dress, all of which were on sale and/or sustainable. Beautiful fit, I always pay attention to the size chart not the size itself.

wish I had read review

Site recommended a med size for me. Inaccurate. Runs very small, definitely size up one size. Good length. Flattering shape. Army green, not a good color on me. I’m 5’4, 150 lbs, 62 yrs, d cup. A large would have fit nicely.

runs very small - size up

I wanted to try this dress on to see if it can work as a regular sweater dress. Loved the material and the pattern, but not a big fan of open shoulders and hoped the upper part could be rearranged. Ordered size S (normally size 2 or 4 in RL dresses) - and it was way too tight in the arms and shoulders (no way to put sleeves higher for a regular looking crewneck style) and very short (although I'm just 5'5'', it was even shorter on me than on the model). I looked like a teenager in an extra small and uncomfortable overpriced dress... Reordered size M - and surprisingly it works great and not baggy: sleeves go up nicely to cover the shoulders and the length is just right, an inch or so above the knee. Looks cute and flattering, and I can move in it.
