Beautiful, poetic book

This is one of my favorite books for kids. The pictures are creative and beautiful, and the writing has a poetic quality that is at once adventurous and soothing. In November, my kids and I "do Leaf Man" by going on a hunt for the most beautiful and interesting fall leaves, reading the book, and constructing our own ephemeral creations. Even though they are on to chapter books in their own reading, they still demand we revisit the tradition every year.
