Great for kids with big imaginations

My granddaughter just loves this phone. Anytime anything happens, she runs to the phone to call someone. She is wondering why she can't get someone live on the call. Great way for kids to learn numbers and how a phone works.

Every home needs this

This teaching phone is amazing, and it belongs in every preschool classroom or home with young children, let me tell you why. The phone can be programmed with your child's phone number, and when he or she dials the right number, he/she can hear a message recorded by Mom, Dad, or teacher. This toy also has a prerecorded message to listen to when 911 is called, so it's a great "dress rehearsal" for what to do if a child ever need to call the real 911. We just received our phone, but I have grand plans for playing hospital (children can call and make appointments), pizza parlor (kids will call and place orders), astronaut (astronauts can call mission control to report the status in the ship), bakery (to place orders), fire station (call to report emergency), house, and so many other ideas are popping into my head, I don't have time to write them all.

Children like the phone

I watch several children ages 2 thru 5 every day. They all seemed very interested in the phone and were anxious to use it. It has helped the kids learn numbers and how to dial 911; however, because it only lets you program 1 additional phone number into it with a recording, it can be difficult to teach the kids their home phone numbers because you have to keep re-recording. Luckily, it is fairly easy to re-record and program the phone. All-in-all, I felt like it was a good purchase.

A great learning toy

I have used this toy for many years. It is an extremely useful toy to help any child learn telephone numbers of family members, but I find it especially useful for blind children. The auditory reward of hearing a loved one's voice when the telephone number is dialed correctly is immense.

Excellent teaching tool

I purchased this phone for my four-year old grandson who is autistic. It is an excellent teaching tool and he thinks it is fun. I highly recommend it.
