Vast improvement over original books

We had bought a few of the earlier Lego books and our daughter really liked them, but they were quite flimsy, the instructions weren't too clear for younger builders (or myself) and they felt cheap, although they had good features, and characters. This set was just picked up as she liked the books and the film. Clearly a bit more thought has been put into the build, the locking feature alone makes it so much better than the original versions. It makes the set much more user friendly and portable without having to worry about accidental opening when out and about. The lock makes it much more like a diary and for such a seemingly small difference on a set, it seems to have really added lots extra play value with it and duration. Price wise it's great for pocket money style purchases and encourages saving as its more than one weeks. It seems that previous issues with the books have been ironed out, and we will undoubtedly be getting more.

Most exciting build from Encanto fan

My daughter is only 3 but LOVES building anything and everything. Following directions and the small parts often means we build together over several days. She loves Encanto (particularly Delores since she looks like her) and animals so I decided to get her Antonio’s room. She was excited, engaged and played with it once put together for longer than most any other actual toy she has. I won’t be surprised if we end up getting Isabella’s room, although she’s much more excited by just about every other character. I wish they made more of these for the other characters.
