Excellent Pattern for formal and informal
I have long believed that chinaware can only either be formal or informal. However, Hannah pattern shows me I was wrong. This is a good pattern for three reasons. First, the china had an elegant metal trim that is required for formal occasion such as wedding and formal dinner. Yet, the anthemion pattern is white, so does not distract the presentation of food or the event. Second, the anthemion pattern provides a touch of wittiness that making this pattern suitable for a less formal occasion such as an afternoon high tea. I found this pattern fits both modern home and traditional home. The design is conventional. Therefore, it works for colonial, classics, and traditional homes. Yet, the color of white bone china with white pattern also fits for homes with modern trims and various wall colors. This mean that this pattern can with stand the test of time. In my opinion, this is a great heirloom pattern for your children and grand children.

Versatile Product
I bought a few pieces at a consignment shop and wound up buying more place settings and serving pieces from Lenox. For a man who entertains this is a good pattern. It adapts to any level of dining from formal to casual, sit down or buffet. I've had sit down chili and salad lunches, and champaign formal dinners with the set. The palmetto pattern pleases women, but is subtle enough to not be too feminine.

I have started to receive place setttings of the Hannah Platinum collection for my wedding, and I am so happy my fiance and I finally agreed on this china pattern. It is simply elegant, and I cannot wait to host my first family dinner.

Don't let anyone talk you out of getting white china. So maybe it isn't colorful, but the detail is beautiful! Who wants to design their dining room around their china anyway? Not me! And who knows, maybe you'll actually be able to pass this down from generation to generation instead of giving it away at an estate sale. I chose this china for my wedding registry and couldn't be happier! And since Lenox goes on sale quite often, I will be able to add some of the more expensive serving pieces until the set is complete. Hooray for white china!
