Gold side tarnished and came off

The gold side tarnished within first year and looked so bad that I couldn’t wear the necklace. Now it has been 3 years and the gold is completely gone. Evaporated as the necklace has been in the box the last three years wore only 3 times when received. Now that it is all silver I can wear it. Ridiculous. Quality is horrible

I wore this chain one time and it immediately faded. It was not the quality i would expect of Macys
