Thank you Netgalley for letting me check out some good recipes to inspire me in the New Year! Of the two cookbooks I have recently checked out from Netgalley to aid in my diabetes management, this one was far superior to the cookbook that was specifically made for diabetics. I also follow the author on Tiktok, so I was looking forward to seeing what recipes made the cut. The first section of the book touches on the basics of a keto diet, and while it wasn't particularly helpful knowledge for me she did a great job covering what I know is important in the keto diet such calories, carbs, how to meal plan, and how to stock your keto pantry. Once you have a nice pantry of keto supplies, it makes life so much easier for following this meal plan. She even touches on how to maximize your food storage, what ingredients you absolutely need, and even what sugar substitutes work best. As an avid sugar free baker, I am definitely holding on to her substitution chart. The next section covers sample meal plans made with her recipes, and all the nutrition breakdowns. I wouldn't personally follow a meal plan like this, but for the beginner it can be really helpful to see everything broken down easily, and it does a good job of not being too repetitive of meals. I personally don't want to be eating the same breakfast every single day! Working our way into the recipe sections they all are very aware of the most popular keto ingredients such as xantham gum, coconut flour, and a wide variety of seeds. The breakfasts are a variety of egg dishes, sweets, and savories. There's also a nice variety of bread recipes, which can be a challenging thing to find success in at the beginning of a low carb diet. The appetizer and snack section makes me want to have a party! The avocado fingers, onion rings. and coconut shrimp all feel like they shouldn't be allowed on keto. The soups are beyond basic and include shrimp bisque, and sausage gumbo. Yum! All of which seem to be nicely seasoned. My favorite chunk of this cookbook is the sections based on your protein of choice. So often my family has toe base the dinner choice on the fact we only have chicken left in the freezer. In this book you can easily pop over to the chicken section and not be too bummer out that you don't have beef. Life is too short to not have the foods you enjoy! This low carb cook book can bring a little more joy back to your eating:)

What a great book! The title is so appropriate! Lisa MarcAurele did an excellent job explaining what Keto is, how to find your macros, how to understand the ingredients, and how to plan your plate and menu. I feel that I finally understand the ketogenic diet. She also gave us a few menu ideas to get started until we are more comfortable with the principles. Although I am not planning on starting a strict keto diet, I am changing my habits and preparing lower carb meals - this book is so inspiring! There are fantastic recipes for every meal you can think of - from breakfast to dessert,+; from meatatarians to vegetarians. The steps are easy to follow, the pictures are stunning, and the ingredients are accessible. I’ll be getting a hard copy of this book and adding many recipes to my repertoire! Easy for 2
Love, love, love that the recipes are both for beginners and for 2! It is so hard to find recipes that are for smaller families. My husband and I are Keto-newbies and this book was a lifesaver for quick, easy, budget friendly meals! She also gives a brief explanation on how keto works and how to stock your kitchen which was super helpful. The categories are broken down simply, making it easy to find what recipe you may be looking for. The only thing I didn't like was using my kindle - so I guess I'll just have to buy a copy of my own! Thank you NetGalley for allowing me to review this splendid cookbook!

Yummy Keto!
You will be saying Low Carb Yum after looking through this keto (and sometimes also paleo and vegan) cookbook. There are more than 125 recipes for all manner of meals included. All recipes are for one or two servings. They are easy to make and take around 30 minutes or less to make. There are twelve recipes for breakfast food alone. I made the Mini Ham & Broccoli Frittatas, which were delicious. The desserts include Fudgy Brownies and Carrot Mug Cakes, which both sound very Low Carb Yum. There are also chapters for main and side dishes, soups and salads, as well as appetizers. The book also includes twelve recipes for breads including a chaffle and tortillas. If you follow a keto diet, Low Carb Yum is an excellent cookbook full of easy to prepare recipes. My only complaint is that I wish every recipe had a picture. 4 stars! Good for Beginners
I have been Keto curious for a while now. I get the basic premise but this book does a really nice job of spelling it out as well as giving some basic cooking information for those who also may be new to cooking as well. This is followed by many recipes for everything from breakfast to desert. Each recipe includes two things I look for in any cookbook: the time it takes to make the meal and the nutritional information. Also included are specific notes for each recipe since you may be using ingredients or methods that you're not familiar. Unfortunately there are not photos to accompany each recipe, but the photos that are there are gorgeous. Oddly, something I didn't know I look for but I did notice it was missing is having the steps numbered. When I'm moving back and forth to a recipe I often lose my place and numbered steps are nice. All in all I think this is a really nicely done cookbook with plenty of recipes that have peaked my interest. I will be getting a final copy of this when it comes out and give them a try. I think this is a good cookbook to start with Keto. You get a list of kitchen staples, equipment as well as how to keep track of BMI, weight and macros that you will need to help achieve success. A meal plan is also provided. There are a good amount of recipes per each food group (as well as different types of "breads" and with variety of meats to help prevent "boredom" with same meals. Look forward to trying them out. I received this book at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

Drool worthy recipes!
I loved doing Keto and it’s time to get back at it. This book was a great refresher and a FABULOUS meal planner to get me kickstarted again. The recipes are drool worthy, whether you are on keto or not. I’m betting I can get my husband to join me when I show him these recipes! Eat well and get healthy with this book.
