Baccarat Rouge 540 is a universal, luminous and intense fragrance with woody ambery floral notes, a one-of-a-kind condensed olfactory signature with a long-lasting sillage. Inspired by the 250th anniversary of Baccarat, Francis Kurkdjian wanted to convey the poetic alchemy of crystal-making in this woody ambery floral fragrance, imagining a unique creation based on 3 'auras'. In the top notes, the breezy facets of jasmine flowers and the radiance of saffron evoke the aura of air. They are highlighted by an accord evoking ambergris and dry woody tones, embodying the mineral aura. Lastly, the aura of fire is suggested by the addictive sensuality of ethyl maltol, a note with gourmand facets. High quality perfume

This perfume has a lovely woody, rich scent which I would definitely say is a unisex perfume. A little goes a long way so you really don't need a lot, it lasts all day on the skin so you know you're getting your money's worth. The packaging is absolutely beautiful! That being said, I can be very sensitive to strong smells and this perfume definitely is one of them. Unfortunately the smell was so strong that I developed a headache towards it throughout the day and ended up having a shower to wash it off because my head was pounding so much. I will say, it's a testament to the quality of the product for it's longevity and strength, sadly, just didn't agree with me personally.

A fragrance you never forget

Baccarat Rouge 540 is one of those fragrances that feels like an experience rather than just a perfume. It opens with delicate saffron and jasmine, then slowly reveals warm amberwood and cedar, creating a luxurious and elegant scent. This is not an everyday fragrance for me because it feels too special. What I love most is how it changes throughout the day. Every few hours I notice something new, sometimes sweeter, sometimes warmer and woodier. The longevity is amazing and I can still smell it on my clothes and hair hours later. It is unique, sophisticated and always makes me feel like I'm wearing something truly luxurious.

Subtle and clean, woody fragrance

I genuinely like this fragrance. You can certainly note the woody background, but the jasmine and others are subtle and airy, as noted by the brand. It's not in your face, which I like, and gives a crisp scent without everyone knowing you have entered the room. As an eau de parfum it's less intense on the skin and great for day wear, I am sure the same fragrance in a higher concentration like extrait de parfum would be great for evening too. It's not super long lasting, I found I got a couple of hours of lasting fragrance so needed a quick spritz later on, the travel bottle is perfect for keeping in a handbag. Because it's subtle, I found others didn't detect it as much as they usually notice the fragrance I wear which has pros and cons depending on how noticeable you want to be. I felt good wearing it, as a middle aged woman, and enjoyed the more personal feel that Baccarat Rouge 540 provided. My husband liked it but also commented that it was less noticeable than my usual fragrances. Happy to recommend it.

Luxury packed in bottled

Luxury packed in bottled - Its maison francis kurkdjian . Had heard about it alot and finally got my hands on it . First sniff, not a fan. After 15 minutes, the perfume actually started to smell so nice. I used it for the day it stayed untill night and i smelled luxurious.. A little goes long way so justifies the price .. just single puff on points, no need to bath in perfume just to smell good. Received so many compliments… am committed to this brand now ..
